MPEG 2/4 Decoder with SDI Output and Embedded Audio
The DC1000 (4RU chassis) and the DC1100 (1RU chassis) are the most compact professional multi-channel receivers on the market.
A wide range of decoder modules are available for the DC1000/DC1100 making in ideal solution for customers requiring professional decoding.
This high density solution enables the decoding of up to 30 channels in one 4RU chassis in either MPEG-2 SD/HD or MPEG-4 AVC SD/HD format. The output is either SDI or HD-SDI with embedded audio and VBI. The new multi-format module can be used in combination with any input and output modules available. In later releases, this decoder module will be available with genlock and Common Interface descrambling.
Operators face an increase in demand to support reception of various encoding standards and formats. This leads to continuous efforts to introduce new equipment into the operation environment as well as minimizing space requirements causing power consumption and equipment variation to become important.

Supporting both MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC in HD and SD resolution, including down-conversion from HD to SD, the decoder module enables operators to migrate from standard definition MPEG-2 to next generation HD MPEG-4 formats without having to change equipment.

Typically, the DC1000 can be used for decoding digital services from satellite or terrestrial for rebroadcast as analog terrestrial transmissions, or for re-encoding and transmission in to broadband, satellite, terrestrial and mobile networks. The DC1000/DC1100 is also ideal as a compact professional monitoring solution at downlink facilities. Via a screen bank, an operator can view live services and quickly experience any reported issues on service quality.
