DVB and AES scrambling
Appear TV scrambler module is compatible with major CA systems and supports both AES and DVB CSA scrambling algorithms. The modular design of the SC2000 makes it possible to tailor the scrambler with correct inputs, descrambling (if needed) and outputs making it one of the most powerful scrambling solutions on the marked. The SC2000 is ideal for all cable and broadband operators.
The SC2000/SC2100 is a Professional scrambler supporting DVB and AES scrambling. The SC2000 scrambler can be integrated with any CA system supporting simulcrypt interface. The SC2000/SC2100 support scrambling of all common video encoded formats such as MPEG-2 and H.264 both in SD and HD resolution. The scrambler has a dedicated Ethernet interface towards the CA server and is fully DVB Simulcrypt compliant and support scrambling of up to 850 Mbit/s and up to 250 services. The scrambler can be combined with any of the available input, descrambling or output modules, enabling operators to manage services from reception to streaming from one chassis with a single user interface.
Professional descrambler and (software based) bulk descrambler
Appear TV’s high performance multi-service descramblers maximize receiver utilization and simplify system design and deployment. Appear TV provides two types of descramblers: one that is CAM-based (DVB-Common Interface) and another for bulk descrambling. The DVB-CI based descramblers are capable of descrambling up to 10 DVB scrambled services per CAM.
The bulk descrambler, on the other hand, is aimed at software-based CA systems. It is used for the descrambling of multiple services protected by one or more CA system. The bulk descrambler is capable of descrambling up to 250 DVB or AES scrambled services.
With support for various CA systems, be it hardware-based or software-based, Appear TV’s descramblers are an efficient, space and energy saving solution.
The SC2000/SC2100 is a compact descrambler for Professional Operators. The flexibility and compactness of the SC2000/SC2100 platform makes it an ideal solution for reception and descrambling. Services are descrambled using Common Interface where all common CA systems are supported. Each CAM slot supports descrambling of up to 10 services (assuming professional CAM and that all 10 services are taken from the same input). The descrambler module can also support AES descrambling with virtual smartcard. The descrambler can be combined with any of the available input, scrambling or output modules, enabling operators to manage services from reception to streaming from one chassis with a single user interface.
