Master head-ends
Appear TV master head-ends enable a wide variety of inputs (DVB-S/S2, DVB-T, DVB-C, IP, ASI), processing (CSA and AES scrambling) and output (IP, ASI) modules. The company's solutions enable descrambling and multiplexing of content in a compact format allowing high capacity signals to be sent over the network. The streaming solutions support MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 HD and SD services. Appear TV can offer the most functionality in one unit which can be easily integrated with existing bitrate-changing equipment and management systems.
Regional head-ends
The Appear TV regional head-end solves a number of operator needs, with its clever design, offering compactness and flexibility by allowing multiple input (DVB-S/S2, DVB-T, DVB-C, IP, ASI), processing (scrambling), and a variety of output modules for broadcast over cable networks.
Appear TV’s decoder solution allows digital simulcast, with Appear TV's cable FM radio module offering the highest quality RF output on the market. Appear TV solutions enable operators to move functionality to the regional head-end with powerful SI and multiplexing capabilities in the smallest possible footprint.
Simulcasting
For operators wanting to offer subscribers analogue TV services over coax in parallel to their digital services over ADSL, Appear TV offers a unique 'one box' solution. Located in either central or remote head-ends, the DC1000 can receive multicasts with TV and radio, decode, modulate and upconvert into an RF signal for cable distribution. Appear TV's web interface makes remote configuration of services and units easy, with straightforward configuration copy and upload. In this way, customers can utilize the same digital feed available in the backbone to receive signals to either STBs and/or TVs (via coax network access).
